The other night the weight of some current life challenges caught up to me emotionally. In that moment things felt heavy, and dark, and as I knelt down to pray I couldn’t find any words. All I could do was cry.

I’m familiar with not having the words, which is why I turn to art - to express the feelings I can’t explain.

As I knelt there crying I looked over at the print of “Jesus Wept” that sits on my nightstand. I imagined Him embracing me, and crying with me, as the only one who really understood the emotions I was feeling.

So once again I turned to art to express the words I can’t find. The feelings He shares with me, and experienced for me.
 
He Knows. He knows how we feel.  He knows how to comfort. He knows how to heal.  He knows why we're crying.  He knows the words we cannot find, the songs we cannot sing. When no else can understand, He knows.
